It's hard to believe that so many weeks have gone by, and I've neglected to blog.
Like everyone, we have been so busy, and the days pass by so quickly, before I know it, weeks have passed by.
We've been enjoying the deer.......they're moving into town more.
There are a few impressive bucks in the herd that has been hanging out in our neighborhood.
Spencer snapped the picture of this guy, on Saturday.
Spencer finally received his new kilt, all the way from Scotland.
He had to wait almost two months for it.
He couldn't be happier to finally have the kilt, and all the accessories.
We've been enjoying beautiful winter sunrises.....
and sunsets.
All around town, it's beginning to look like Christmas.
Decorations are up, and twinkly little lights,
Yesterday, we had a snow storm ..... it added a magical Christmas touch.
Attitude of gratitude:
~I'm grateful that we are going to have all of our children home for Christmas
~I'm grateful that my MIL will finally have surgery on her shoulder tomorrow, and begin the healing process.
~I'm grateful that will the hundreds, and thousands of miles that we've driven over the past few months, our Heavenly Father has watched over us, and kept us safe from harm and accident.
~I'm grateful that my CD from "Time out For Women" finally arrived. I can't wait to watch it, and enjoy the music, and the presenters talks once again..... so inspiring.
Hi Kerin, I certainly have missed your blog posts. Wonderful photo of Spencer. I'm happy to hear you will all be together for Christmas. May you enjoy happy and healthy days together.
ReplyDeleteYour son looks so happy and proud that it has arrived, that will be fun! Love that buck and all the pictures...Merry Christmas! :)

Evening Kerin! Yes, the season is upon us and we all have been busy....It looks like winter in your neck of the woods too! Your son looks very handsome and proud in his new kilt....all the way from Scotland WOW!! Have a Merry Christmas with your family...Blessings and Prayers....Roxie
ReplyDeleteSpencer looks fine in his new kilt.
ReplyDeletePeople either love or hate the bagpipes, I happen to love them. I took lessons from an old piper when I lived in Scotland. I was never any good but had fun trying.
Sounds like you will have a great Christmas with all of your children near you! Glad you are back from blog break!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you've been. Glad to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the sunrise and sunsets.
Spencer looks so happy in his new kilt.
Have a wonderful Christmas with all your family!
Hi Kerin, I haven't been by for awhile and I see the wildlife is taking over. They are so pretty, but I remember my mom and dad when they built their dream house, after us kids were out of the nest, complaining about them in their gardens. I've lived in town for so long that I miss seeing them. Spencer is looking very happy to have his kilt. And a little snow is a good thing around Christmas time. Weather report says we may have snow on Thursday, but don't know at what elevation. We are at 2400 feet. I wouldn't mind it..Happy Tuesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteIt is such a busy time of year- but I love it. Nice sunrise and sunset shots!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see another post from you! Now I'm curious...what kind of deer is that?...other than a very trusting one, to be so close to civilization!
ReplyDeleteHi Alica...
DeleteWe have Mule deer around here.
So happy for your son with his new kilt..proudly worn. Your photos are evocative of the season of snow and beautiful sunsets...how in the world did you get the snowman situated so well ? Love him!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy..
DeleteThat snowman is one of the neighbors, not ours.
However, I wish he were ours... as I think he's so cute!
Your son looks so proud of his kilt...nice to see that smile. Love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love your Attitude of Gratitude . . . and the face of your Kilt Happy son!
ReplyDeleteLoved the picture of the beautiful buck, Kerin... we see so many deer around here until hunting season starts~ then they disappear. I know they are not all killed~ I think they are getting smart enough to move somewhere else when the shooting starts. :)
ReplyDeleteYour snow is magical... I wish we could have just a little bit here for Christmas.
Spencer looks the part in his new kilt! Love it!
Hope you have a wonderful week, Sweetie.
Love the smile on your son's face, he looks so happy to have his kilt. Beautiful photo of the buck, we have too many deer around here but they are pretty.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the well wishes for my MIL.
DeleteShe fell in the summer, and needs surgery to correct some stuff in her shoulder that got jacked up.
Yes... that plaid is the Black Watch!
A classic.
I know how easy it is to let the time and days disappear! But, I miss you when we don't hear from you. Glad you are well and are enjoying the holidays.
ReplyDeleteBetty
Time is certainly flying right by! It always does, but especially at this time of year.

ReplyDeleteSpencer looks mighty sharp in his new kilt!
That's one handsome buck in that photo. How blessed we are to enjoy and behold His creations at the beginning and ending of the day.
ReplyDeleteNot quite ready for snow here....brrr!
We had an ER Christmas party last week and a couple of pipers from the fire department came and played. I LOVE bagpipes. I swear I should have been born in Scotland.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of your home and the deer. So beautiful and peaceful.
Love nature photos.. yours are very nice! I miss snow for Chistmas but don't like digging out from it..wink!
ReplyDeleteTime is passing by more these days.. I agree!
Hugs.. Happy Holiday
You aren't kidding about time flying. I have been having a hard time getting time to post and catch up here in the blog world. Not that I don't want to and miss reading what everyone has to say too. But I find that time is short for some reason and I can't catch up it seems. Hoping for things to change a bit and things will simmer down and I can find a few extra minutes here and there to stay up on the goings on and be able to post a few things too. Hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season Kerin. Things around your place are looking festive.

What a nice picture! The deer are really out now thats for sure. We have so many around this area this year.
ReplyDeleteA real kilt from Scotland, where does Spencer get to play?
Nancy Jo
We understand! Time seems to go fast this time of year with all the holiday things to get done.
ReplyDeleteNice looking deer!
I just love the first picture of the buck. He is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo with the flag flying in the breeze. It looks very cold there. I always enjoy your attitudes of gratitude!
ReplyDeleteOk, I am a bit envious of your son and his handsome kilt, all the way from Scotland, and I assume he plays, perhaps the bagpipes. I love that music, it is both fierce and romantic and you probably get to hear him play.
ReplyDeleteSoooo happy for you that all your chicks will be in the nest for Christmas!! Wishing you and yours the merriest of Christmases, dear Kerin!! {{hugs}} and blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteThe bare trees, the dusting of snow... it really is starting to look like Christmas there. Love the kilt!! :-) I know how you feel about the kids coming home for Christmas. Both of our children arrive next week. YAY!!!! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
