{Oh Deer, Oh Dear...}

Oh Dear, where does the time go?
It's hard to believe that so many weeks have gone by, and I've neglected to blog.
Like everyone, we have been so busy, and the days pass by so quickly, before I know it, weeks have passed by.

We've been enjoying the deer.......they're moving into town more.
There are a few impressive bucks in the herd that has been hanging out in our neighborhood.
Spencer snapped the picture of this guy, on Saturday.

Spencer finally received his new kilt, all the way from Scotland.
He had to wait almost two months for it.
He couldn't be happier to finally have the kilt, and all the accessories.
We've been enjoying beautiful winter sunrises.....
 and sunsets.

All around town, it's beginning to look  like Christmas.
Decorations are up, and twinkly little lights,
Yesterday, we had a snow storm ..... it added a magical Christmas touch.

Attitude of gratitude:
~I'm grateful that we are going to have all of our children home for Christmas
~I'm grateful that my MIL will finally have surgery on her shoulder tomorrow, and begin the healing process.
~I'm grateful that will the hundreds, and thousands of miles that we've driven over the past few months,  our Heavenly Father has watched over us, and kept us safe from harm and accident.
~I'm grateful that my CD from "Time out For Women" finally arrived. I can't wait to watch it, and enjoy the music, and the presenters talks once again..... so inspiring.

  5. Spencer looks fine in his new kilt.
People either love or hate the bagpipes, I happen to love them. I took lessons from an old piper when I lived in Scotland. I was never any good but had fun trying.

  8. Hi Kerin, I haven't been by for awhile and I see the wildlife is taking over. They are so pretty, but I remember my mom and dad when they built their dream house, after us kids were out of the nest, complaining about them in their gardens. I've lived in town for so long that I miss seeing them. Spencer is looking very happy to have his kilt. And a little snow is a good thing around Christmas time. Weather report says we may have snow on Thursday, but don't know at what elevation. We are at 2400 feet. I wouldn't mind it..Happy Tuesday..Judy

  10. It's good to see another post from you! Now I'm curious...what kind of deer is that?...other than a very trusting one, to be so close to civilization!

    1. Hi Nancy..
That snowman is one of the neighbors, not ours.
However, I wish he were ours... as I think he's so cute!

  14. Loved the picture of the beautiful buck, Kerin... we see so many deer around here until hunting season starts~ then they disappear. I know they are not all killed~ I think they are getting smart enough to move somewhere else when the shooting starts. :)

Spencer looks the part in his new kilt! Love it!
Hope you have a wonderful week, Sweetie.

    1. Thanks for the well wishes for my MIL.
She fell in the summer, and needs surgery to correct some stuff in her shoulder that got jacked up.

Yes... that plaid is the Black Watch!
      A classic.

  25. We had an ER Christmas party last week and a couple of pipers from the fire department came and played. I LOVE bagpipes. I swear I should have been born in Scotland.

  27. You aren't kidding about time flying. I have been having a hard time getting time to post and catch up here in the blog world. Not that I don't want to and miss reading what everyone has to say too. But I find that time is short for some reason and I can't catch up it seems. Hoping for things to change a bit and things will simmer down and I can find a few extra minutes here and there to stay up on the goings on and be able to post a few things too. Hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season Kerin. Things around your place are looking festive.

  32. Ok, I am a bit envious of your son and his handsome kilt, all the way from Scotland, and I assume he plays, perhaps the bagpipes. I love that music, it is both fierce and romantic and you probably get to hear him play.
