It is where we drive each week to take Spencer back to work.
It's where we found this new bottle tree.
Someone had to have used a ladder, or shimmied up this Aspen tree
to place the bottles on it.
Finally.... someone found a way to use those plentiful brown beer bottles.
I wonder how long it will last.
Will the wind blow them off?
Will a bear tear them off?
Will other people add to the bottle tree?
Guess we'll wait to see.
Attitude of gratitude:
~I'm grateful that we are heading out this morning to Satterwhites to pick up some lumber for building some of our fences.
~I'm grateful that my sweet hubby has a day off today and that we can spend the day together.
Sure.. we'll be 'working', getting projects done.... but we'll be spending time together and that's what matters.
~I'm grateful the 'girls' are doing well and are healthy. Didn't really want new baby chicks right now... but they sure are cute! Now, lets just hope we get the barn done in the next few weeks so that by the time they feather out.. we'll have someplace to house them.
I love aspens- they are my favorite tree- I guess that's one way to get the beer bottles out of the ditch, but I'd rather they go for a different color- maybe they should switch to wine bottles? :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this high altitude drive but have never taken it. Looks beautiful. The bottle tree looks interesting...Glad you can spend the day with your husband. It's it great just to know he is home? That is the way I feel with my oft' away hubby. Have a great day! Thanks for the post.

ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful place door a drive! I may find some neat treasures, but I sure don't have the beautiful country air to breath in like you, for that I am very green! :) xo Heather

Yes, wonder how long they will last. Someone young enough to shimmy up the tree had to have put them there! My old bones...not.

ReplyDeleteI learn something every time I stop by! Love the drive, the trees....we have no aspen or birch and I think they are so beautiful. I tried to get a few of my bottles in the ground but they topple over....do they use a piece of rerod first in the ground?
ReplyDeleteDon't work too hard now! Yeah right...you're "always workin and never sittin"! LOL! Take care!
