Monday

Welcome

 Hi! Welcome back.
It's time for me to start blogging again at "Always Fixin Never Sittin."
It was a really nice break, and it was a long, long break too.
Good for me, and for my family, and for the homestead.
Some of you know that sometimes, blogging can consume a lot of time.
Time that for me, was better spent with my family, and home.
So, now as the Summer wraps up, and the beauty of Fall is here, I'm looking forward to blogging once again.

The Pumpkin Harvest took place this past Saturday.
It's amazing just how many Pumpkins we have!
Brooke did a wonderful job planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting our pumpkin patch this summer!

We've decorated the homestead with lots, and lots of pumpkins.
Last Friday, we had a hard freeze, and that was the end of the growing season for us.
We still need to clean out the raised box gardens, and take all the pumpkin vines to the landfill.
On the potting table, pumpkins and squash cure.
Sitting in the cool, dry air and curing so that they will last the season.

I have to say, I love all the varieties of pumpkins, but I'm partial to the bumpy pumpkins, and the blue pumpkins.
They are just so cool looking.
We didn't have anything like them when I was a youngster.

Attitude of Gratitude:
So grateful for the sunshine today, and the light breeze. It makes getting my housework done so much more enjoyable.
I'm grateful for our new washer and dryer. They are work-horses and it makes Monday laundry day so nice.  Especially all that bedding that needs to be washed each Monday!
